Lightspeed is seeking a full-time Data Analyst-Developer for its Information Systems team. By analyzing,    understanding and transforming critical operational data, you'll accelerate Lightspeed’s Digital Transformation  and M&A execution. If you love being hands-on in analyzing, profiling data; relating data to business functionality; creating high quality data migration, transformation pipelines on the latest tech stack and collaborating with a great team; then this is the role for you.

For this role, you can be located in Canada +1/-1h from EST time zone.

What you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Analyze data in current systems; build, test and deploy data cleaning, transformations, migration programs.
  • Translate business functionality and problems into concrete data analyses, mappings, models, sequence, requirements 
  • Design, build, deploy, test data transformation programs which meet business requirements and NFRs like quality, performance, security
  • Create artifacts like data mapping, lineage, dependency and data inventory; contribute to data dictionary and catalog.
  • Contribute to practices related to data security(PII), classification, and compliance (SOX, GDPR)
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to plan, identify risk factors and regularly communicate progress.  
  • Influence decision regarding data tools, technology, approaches

 What you’ll be bringing to the team:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to learn new systems fast.
  • Ability to communicate, debate, and resolve complex issues
  • Experience in data analysis, mapping, and profiling
  • Expertise in advanced SQL and familiarity with JavaScript and Python, as well as tools to build transformation, migration pipelines. 
  • Expertise in SDLC, agile and devops; experience with source control (Git), CI/CD, cloud data platforms (BigQuery, GCP), and data orchestrator (AirFlow, Cloud Composer)
  • Experience in good design patterns and coding best-practices
  • Familiarity with data models of leading Lead-to-Cash systems like Salesforce, Netsuite, Hubspot, Zuora, Workday etc
  • Exposure to integration solutions like Mulesoft, event driven integration
  • Ability to apply data governance principles (Quality, Metadata, Security) 
  • Background in participating in successful, complex data projects, including migrations, in the context of M&A and Digital Transformation
  • Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent
