Director, Brand and Experience Marketing

We’re looking for a bilingual Director, Brand and Experience Marketing to join our team in NoAm. You will act as both the champion and guard dog of the Brand, ensuring that all pillar programs embody the Brand positioning and also ladder back up to the corporate OKRs.  You will be the bridge between the brand and multiple internal functional stakeholders (such as Go to Market, Marketing, Communications, People and Culture and the PMO), as well as the Industry verticals to drive function-agnostic and cross-industry brand enhancing initiatives.

Reporting to the VP, Brand, this role will oversee all cross-functional brand initiatives, all large-scale external-facing brand programs and also act as the glue between the multiple marketing, communications and industry functions.

What you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Brand strategy and planning
    • Develop the always-on brand plan across multiple channels, working closely with other mar-comm stakeholders for deployment and activation
    • Work across all groups to create a consolidate One Lightspeed marketing and communications calendar to track and identify key milestones with the goal of building continuous and impactful brand momentum
    • Develop and execute strategies to increase brand satisfaction and customer delight
    • Own the corporate sponsorship plan 
    • Work closely with the Research team to build an impactful and useable research plan
    • Own the brand experience and brand activation strategy, working closely with other brand and industry stakeholders 
  • Cross-functional brand programs
    • Work closely with the Communications and the Performance teams on all pillar announcements
    • Work collaborative with the Customer group on several key customer initiatives including our customer review strategy, journey mapping, and integrating marquee customers into our brand story
    • Partner closely with the greater Brand team and key stakeholders to advocate for CX and brand objectives and promote consistency of the overall strategy across the organization
    • Work hand-in-hand with the People & Culture group on employer branding initiatives
    • Lead our consolidated hero brand roadmap
    • Support corporate sponsorship and CSR initiatives, working closely with internal groups on building and communicating on sustainability and DEI programs
    • Ensure all brand and customer communications across marketing channels (email, chatbot, in product chat, etc.,) are consistent and aligned with the overall brand strategy
  • Brand reporting and accountability
  • Set marketing CX and brand retention KPIs, define measures of success, report on results and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Own brand performance mapping and reporting and work collaboratively with Communications and Performance stakeholders to provide monthly reports
    • Work closely with external vendors on building and evolving our brand dashboard
    • Lead cross-functional reporting on key programs and campaigns
    • Implement frameworks to surface and analyze Lightspeed’s key brand and CX metrics, working collaboratively with other stakeholders and groups
  • Team management and leadership
    • Manage a team marketers and creators
    • Mentor and develop more junior members of the Marketing team using a supportive and collaborative approach
    • Be accountable for driving change across the marketing organization globally to continually improve how we infuse our work with Brand

What you’ll be bringing to the team:

  • Extensive experience in a senior level Brand Marketing and Brand  Experience role in high growth, fast paced environment
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders from different regions and levels
  • Data-driven, and results-driven marketer
  • Proven success with developing and implementing solid brand enhancing  marketing strategies 
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to mentor, coach and develop employees
  • Fluency in both French and English 

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • Experience working in a technology organization or the Retail, Hospitality or Services industries
