Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Primary Responsibilities

  • Acting as an internal consultant to Senior management for business analysis and strategic decision-making
  • Developing financial models, forecasts, budgets, and related support material for Senior management and the board
  • Preparing reports and developing real-time dashboards to analyze and present performance against plan
  • Identifying opportunities for operational and financial improvements
  • Partnering with department leadership on strategies to achieve desired results
  • Providing support on complex projects and ad hoc analysis. Contributing to the design of financial models, scenarios, and sensitivities for projects and reporting requirements. Applying models and interpreting results
  • Building clear and insightful reports. Improving the financial reports reliability, accuracy, clarity and production time
  • Building relationships with other departments and help creating systemic solutions to accurately record new business transactions for both operational and consolidated results
  • Producing clear, well-structured documentation that supports reporting needs and audit processes
  • Supporting the development and implementation of dashboards and management reports to meet the needs of all stakeholders
  • Ensuring that the business processes in place enable accurate financial information and put in place necessary corrective measures in a timely manner
  • Participating in preparation of consolidated and non-consolidated internal management reports
  • Working on ad hoc projects as assigned; such as assessment of new business activities or change of process
  • Assisting with special requests from the Executive team

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience on a similar role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel is a must
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Experience in investment banking
  • Detail-oriented, autonomous, and able to take initiative
  • Able to handle a high volume of transactions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
