Lightspeed is looking for an experienced Vice President of Marketing to develop and head the company’s Global Marketing Roadmap for the Retail industry. You will help Lightspeed become the leading commerce platform that connects restaurants, suppliers and consumers around the world.

About the role:

As the global marketing head for the Retail industry,  you will be responsible for growing our market share in key markets around the world. As a seasoned strategic thinker, you understand how to balance being data driven with leading teams through high impact go to market strategy in the SMB space.

Reporting to the EVP of Marketing, you will be working closely with the awesome team of local marketing directors across NoAM, EMEA and APAC, to drive the full Marketing plan for the entire customer journey of our Retail industry, from lead generation to customer retention, nurture and delight.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and Lead Global Retail marketing lead
    • Work with local marketing Retail leaders to plan, implement and execute on the Retail marketing calendar and roadmap. This involves planning for activities covering the entire customer journey, such as: 
      • Lead generation (Running of marketing campaigns and tactics to achieve lead generation goals)
      • Customer onboarding, nurture, retention and upsell (Ownership of the Retail marketing newsletter and nurture tactics, along with upsell and retention strategy and campaigns).
    • Direct and support market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports
    • Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning and devise counter-strategies
    • Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels
    • Manage the global marketing budget and expenditures, together with local Retail marketing leads. 
    • Work closely with the GM of Retail, SVP of Retail and key stakeholders in the GTM department to align sales and marketing strategies
    • Work closely with the GM of Retail and VP of Retail product and key stakeholders in the P&T department to align on product marketing strategies and consumer and market insights.
  • Brand consolidation and brand measurement
    • Plan and implement the marketing plan towards getting to one lightspeed and the company’s 5-year vision. This includes: 
      • The planning of brand sunsets of recent and future acquire companies (if applicable)
      • The successful rollout of the lightspeed brand towards existing / acquired customers, throughout all customer touchpoints, through brand transition.
      • The integration of the acquired customers in future lightspeed marketing efforts.

  • Extensive and proven years of marketing experience, in senior / executive management roles
