LeZot is carving out their niche online with help from Lightspeed
When owner Jason Robinson took over LeZot Camera, trade magazines were saying the writing was on the wall: traditional methods were done for. Nearly two decades later, LeZot is thriving on sales of both traditional and modern equipment, with a growing online presence securing their future.

Challenge
Before Lightspeed, managing LeZot meant coordinating between at least four different systems. No integration between the in-store POS and LeZot’s online shop meant wasted time and lost profit. Jason knew finding the right niche online was crucial to securing LeZot’s future, but the website simply wasn’t worth it: “We were struggling with logistics and this was weighing on me. I knew I had to have an online presence or there would be no way to market ourselves outside of our neighbourhood.”
Solution
Lightspeed replaced LeZot’s previously separate POS, repair software, e-commerce account and more. Now that the physical and online stores have been synced, growing LeZot’s online presence is as easy as managing the in-store stock. “The beauty of Lightspeed is that when it sells in store, it’s taken off the website—which was a big issue before. Now customers see it online, and they know what we have before we do,” says owner Jason.
